Hammock Activity

Defintion

A project planning term that refers to a group of activities that "hang" between two end dates. Hammock activities are usually used for activities that do not follow any logical or time-based hierarchy. You would typically use it to bundle together dissimilar activities that do not fit elsewhere in a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
